About Me

Hi, I’m Chelsea, and I’m so excited that you’re considering using YNAB to take control of your money.

I’ve been a YNAB nerd for many years and decided to become a coach because YNAB has changed my life. Imagine the feeling of forgetting that payday was two days ago because you weren’t desperately waiting for your direct deposit to come through to cover rent that’s due tomorrow. We in the biz call this a “YNAB win.” I want to empower others to feel in control of their money and not the other way around, and I can’t wait to help you achieve your own YNAB win.

As a certified YNAB coach, I’ve had the advantage of 18 hours of live classes with YNAB teachers and staff, access to a wealth of official YNAB resources, and training in dealing with many diverse financial situations. I am able to continue developing as a coach through access to a community for YNAB coaching graduates and ongoing monthly courses.

But let’s rewind back to the beginning…

I’ve been using YNAB since 2015 when I was making 800€ per month as an English teacher in Spain. I’d been living abroad for 4 years and was stressed and frustrated that I never I had enough money to do the things I wanted. I chose to live an ocean away from my family and closest friends, so being able to afford to visit home was important to me, and there was no way I was doing that without help from the Bank of Dad.

I discovered YNAB out of desperation for a solution to the questions: How will I ever be able to save for the big things in life on this salary? Am I a real adult if I can’t get my bank account to stay in 4 digits?

I needed clarity about what I was spending on and what my goals were, and I needed to get realistic about how much I could save and how much I could spend each month, without feeling restricted and sad. YNAB has helped me move abroad again (to England), get by on a part-time retail income while doing a Master’s degree, buy a car, save for a deposit on a house, and so many more small moments of peace and satisfaction.

So that’s me! Please get in touch and let’s discuss your financial priorities and goals, and together we’ll make a plan to get you there.
